In Module 1 of this course, we looked at the importance and development of data protection. If the phrase "I have nothing to hide!" still comes easily to you, then perhaps you should go through Module 1 again.
For those who say: "Yes, I understand why it is important to handle personal data carefully", we will now move on to Module 2. Here we will look at the legal basis for data protection in the European Union as set out in the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We will work partly with the original texts (marked in green) but don't worry, we have broken everything down into easily digestible chunks so that you can work through the GDPR in small steps..
