Many different types of data are generated in the course of a project. On the one hand, this can be content-related project data that relates to the topic of the project, such as measurement data, data from statistical surveys or study results. As a rule, this data is not related to an individual person and is therefore not subject to data protection.
However, data can also be processed that allows conclusions to be drawn about a natural person. This data is referred to as personal data and is subject to data protection. In addition to contact data and personal data, this also includes identification numbers and identifiers, such as a customer number or a user ID.
You can find a detailed explanation of the topic of "personal data" in our basic course on data protection.
