Task
The risk assessment of processing operations is not usually the responsibility of the project management or the project participants. Nevertheless, it makes sense to be aware of the risks of individual processing operations in order to address the issue with those responsible if necessary.
Step 1
Take the list of data processing operations from the previous course modules and carry out a risk analysis of the processed data.
- Check individual processing activities in your project or company.
- Carry out a threshold analysis by classifying the processing activities in the risk table.
Step 2
Identify high-risk processing operations, so-called "risky" processing operations. All processing operations that you have entered in yellow or orange fields are considered high-risk.- Talk to the relevant specialist departments or individuals about the identified risks.
- Ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures have been implemented and documented in order to minimise the risks.
Step 3
All processing operations that you have entered in red boxes are considered critical processing operations. The risks here are so high that an intensive review of all aspects of data processing is absolutely essential. As a rule, the processing of such data requires legal support in order to implement and document sufficient protective measures. In this case, you should urgently speak to those responsible in your organisation.
