Personal data of contract participants must be processed in order to conclude contracts. In order to conclude a contract, at least the name and address of the contract holder must be recorded so that they can be identified.
However, it is conceivable that further data of the data subject must be collected. For example, insurance companies calculate their conditions based on a wide range of information. To calculate the insurance rate for your car, information about the type of car, age and place of residence of the policyholder is also required. The insurance company may process this data if it is necessary in the context of pre-contractual measures. The insurance company can therefore rely on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
