For the publication of audio, image and video material of a person, their consent must generally be obtained (there may be exceptions, e.g. in the case of famous personalities). If possible, you should obtain consent in writing. Verbal consent is possible, but is difficult to document or prove.

In practice, it has proven to be a good idea to ask for consent separately for the various media channels. The data subject then has the option of agreeing to the publication on the organiser's website but objecting to the use on social media platforms.
